Privacy Policy
buyworld.app is a free-to-play game played with play money, with optional purchases. This page explains what we collect and why. We keep it to what the game needs to work.
What we collect
- Your Google account ID and email address, when you sign in with Google. We use them only to identify your player, so your game loads on any device. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
- Game data: your randomly generated player name, play-money balance, the buildings you own, your trades, bids, coalition and quest progress.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is used only by this site, not for advertising or tracking.
- Your IP address, briefly, to limit spam and abuse (rate limiting). These records expire within a day.
- Push notification subscription, only if you turn notifications on. You can turn them off at any time.
- Purchases, only if you buy something in the store: what you bought, the price, when, and the payment's status and reference from Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy, our reseller, collects your payment details (card, name, email, billing country) on its own page; we never see or store your card number. We keep purchase records as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the services listed below, to run the game and take payments.
- We don't use analytics trackers.
- Your email is never shown to other players. Other players only see your player name and your in-game properties.
Where it is stored
Data is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the game. Map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap, sign-in is handled by Google, and payments by Lemon Squeezy, each under their own privacy policies.
Deleting your data
Email us at miyamoto.pierre@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete your account and game data. You can also remove the game's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
